Val's Honey Cake

Ingredients

  • Dough:
  • 2 - Eggs
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 2 tbsp - Honey
  • 1/2 tsp - Baking soda
  • 50 grams - Unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp - Flour
  • 3 cups - Flour
  •  

  • Cream:
  • 1/2 litre - Milk
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1 - Egg
  • 2 tbsp - Flour
  • 1 tbsp - Corn starch
  • 200 grams - Unsalted butter

Directions

  1. Dough:
  2. Mix 2 eggs and 1 cup of sugar. Add honey, baking soda and 50 grams of butter. Mix again.
  3. Add 2 tbsp of flour.
  4. Put liquid on steamed bath and mix 10 minutes, until it will not become brown-ish. Cool down.
  5. Use 3 cups of flour and make a small crater in the flour hill. Mix liquid with flour and make dough.
  6. Split dough in a 4-5 parts and roll into layers.
  7. Bake every layer for 5 minutes sharp in 350F.
  8. Cream:
  9. Split milk for bigger and smaller part.
  10. Mix 1 cup of sugar with 1 egg. Add 2 tbsp of flour, 1 tbsp of corn starch and smaller part of the milk.
  11. Pour bigger part of the milk into a saucepan and heat, slowly add cream mixture to it. Cool down.
  12. Add 200 grams of cold butter in the end and mix.
