Homemade Mustard

Ingredients

  • 50 grams mustard seeds
  • 50 grams mustard powder
  • 1/2 cup beer (or water if no beer available)
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar (any vinegar is good)
  • 5 grams salt
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh herbs (dill) (optional)

Directions

  1. Combine salt, mustard seeds, mustard powder, turmeric, honey and herbs together
  2. Pour in beer and mix
  3. Let sit for 10 minutes, longer sit time means more mellow taste
  4. When taste is good, pour in vinegar and mix
  5. Put in a container and refrigerate for 24h before using. It will thicken in the fridge
